LearnTranscription.com, Inc., a Michigan Company, is a private educational institution based in Wayland, Michigan. LearnTranscription.com, Inc. was incorporated in October of 2000.

The following executive officers and staff members carry out day-to-day operations:

Mary Ann LeBoeuf, President
Mary Ann is co-founder of SOAP Transcription Services, Inc., a Michigan company, based in Wayland, Michigan, that is a medical transcription service company specializing in emergency department medical transcription. Mary Ann learned medical transcription in 1989 when her friend (later to become her business partner) took mercy on her and decided to teach her in the evenings, while working a full-time job and going to Western Michigan University. After many months of hard work, she became a medical language specialist. Together, Mary Ann and Mary Jo decided there had to be an easier way to train people who want a rewarding and challenging career; who want to make good money; and, yes, who want to work at home. After many years of running an in-house training program at SOAP Transcription Services, Inc., they have found that perfect tool for training the individual who is serious about getting into the medical transcription field. Mary Ann's favorite analogy, when people think learning to become a medical language specialist is easy, is to ask them how long it would take for them to learn a foreign language that they have no expertise in. Mary Ann oversees the day-to-day business operations of LearnTranscription.com, Inc., and is also responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivables. Mary Ann has been married to Dave for over 18 years and has two wonderfully talented children, Andre and Kris.

Mary Jo Curran, Vice President of Operations
Mary Jo is co-founder of SOAP Transcription Services, Inc., a medical transcription service in Wayland, Michigan, specializing in emergency department transcription. Mary Jo and her partner, Mary Ann LeBoeuf, have been in business together since 1989. Prior to that, Mary Jo has a 13-year medical background that includes transcription, clinical care, and phlebotomy.

To Mary Jo, LearnTranscription.com fills a void that has been a struggle to fill for many years. SOAP has had an onsite training program, and it has always been Mary Jo's contention that she would put their trainees up against any in the world. However, the SOAP training program has been restricted by size and geographical limitations. The potential to accomplish this level of training, on the Internet, without these confinements, is extremely exciting!

On a personal level, Mary Jo is a wife, mother of four children, and a first-time grandmother. She and her husband, Dan, reside in Wayland, two blocks from the office. Their oldest daughter, Betsy, is a SOAP-trained Medical Language Specialist; and she helped to launch LearnTranscription.com. Phillip preps and paints automobiles. Emily is her kid's mom and is also attending college, and Sarah is a busy college student, as well. Mary Jo's priority goals are God, family, work, and play. She feels that this profession has offered her the opportunity to keep this at least semi-straight in a society that doesn't make it easy. She has loved the opportunity to train 50-60 others in the past several years and welcomes the opportunity to reach hundreds or even thousands in the years to come! Her role in LearnTranscription.com is to help with the day-to-day operations of the business.

Mindy Blaylock, Director of Student Services
Mindy graduated from Davenport University with a Certificate of Medical Transcription and went on to be a trainee of SOAP Transcription Services in Wayland, MI. Eventually, she went on to become an at-home transcriptionist for SOAP. Mindy has been with LearnTranscription.com since January of 2006 and is very enthusiastic about helping the students! Mindy will be there to help with the admission process right on through to helping make sure graduates can begin their careers as medical transcriptionists. Mindy is a mother of two daughters and lives in Grand Rapids, MI.

Diane (Dee) Hein, CMT
Dee became a medical transcriptionist after graduating with an Associate Degree in Medical Secretarial in 1988. She started working at SOAP in 1991 as an MLS and went on to proofing and then training through the years. Dee was also part of the team that started LearnTranscription.com. She is now working with Quality Assurance. Dee has been a member of AHDI (formerly AAMT) since 1993 and earned her CMT in 2003.

Personally, Dee is married with 3 children and 4 grandchildren. She and her husband, Lou, live in Allegan, Michigan. Dee spends her extra time spoiling her grandchildren and traveling in addition to being the editor for Michigan On Record, the Michigan Association of Documentation Integrity (MAHDI) newsletter, since 2005.
